Operation is selectable for the Chinese WPAN band from 779 to 787MHz, the European SRD band from 863 to 870 MHz, and the North-American ISM band from 902 to 928 MHz. The RF212 is a fully integrated transceiver, utilizing Direct-Sequence Spread-Spectrum techniques to offer very flexible combinations of modulation techniques and data rates.

With the industry's best link budget, the AT86RF212 is an ideal device for designing long-range, robust wireless applications. Its wide offering of data rates ensures maximum flexibility on the application side, and with the industry's lowest power consumption, it is a perfect match for AVR picoPower microcontrollers when designing wireless solutions with years of battery lifetime in mind.
